What is Framer Cookie Banner?

Framer limited their cookie banner feature to a plan costing $40 a month (at the time of writing). If that seems unfair, grab this simple cookie banner HTML embed code.

Free vs Professional version?

The free version allows you to have a basic cookie banner, while the professional version allows you to only load Google Analytics when a user accepts. The paid version includes video instructions.

How to implement the free version?

1. Copy and paste the embed component into your Framer project. 2. Replace the "YOUR LINK HERE" text (somewhere in the middle of the code) with your privacy policy link to Notion or Google Doc. 3. Publish to check if it's working.

How to implement the professional version?

1. Open the downloaded files head.html and body.html with a text/code editor. 2. Add your Google Measurement ID inside head.html. 3. Add your cookie policy link to body.html. 4. Open your Framer project settings (Site Settings > General). 5. Paste the contents of head.html inside the “Start of <head> tag” box. 6. Paste the contents of body.html inside the “Start of <body> tag” box. 7. Publish! You will receive video instructions.

Which region is this cookie banner intended for?

This cookie banner was created without any specific region in mind. It is your sole responsibility to ensure that it aligns with the regulations applicable to your project. Please note that I am not an expert, so it is recommended that you conduct your own research.
